The current economic turmoil, and the holidays have brought out scams in record numbers due to multi-millions of people looking for ways to make money, earn extra cash, or own their own business.

Many, if not most people, will become victims of scams which fall into four basic categories. They are: Work at home scams, money making scams, affiliate marketing scams, and confidence schemes.

Don't get me wrong... not all ways of making money you see advertised are scams. However, those that are... generally have certain alerts that should send up a red flag of caution on your part.

Alerts that are generally tip-offs are: "HYIP(High yeild Income Program)", "Multiple Streams Of Income", "Guaranteed Sign-Ups", "Straight Line Matrix(Doublers)", "Pre-Launches", "You Have Won", and "Get-Three-Who-Get-Three"(The number varies from 2 - 10).

Most of these scams will be encountered online, or through emails. However, many of them will be mailed to your home address. No matter what the medium of delivery, they are all after one thing... Your Money!

Whenever you receive offers of money, or ways to make a lot of money quickly... refer back to these helpful alerts, and do your due diligence to check it out before parting with your hard earned pay to help prevent you from becoming a money making scam victim.

If you take your time and look for them, you will find there are thousands of easy ways to make money online, and off. You will also find there are thousands of reputable online, and off-line businesses and individuals which are honest and helpful in achieving your goals of financial independence.
